Innovating to Save Lives:
A SMARTER WAY TO FIGHT FIRES

After witnessing the devastation of forest fires, we sought a better way to fight them. With Canada’s vast lakes and rivers, harnessing this resource for fire suppression was the logical choice. We spent years developing an innovative pump to enhance firefighting efficiency.
Our patented design optimizes power use at full engine RPM, adapting dynamically to flow and pressure needs. With 465 lb. ft. of torque and weighing just 570 lbs, it moves high-pressure water over long distances—matching pumps up to 10,000 lbs. Its lightweight, compact design allows for easy off-road deployment, making it ideal for remote firefighting.

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT. TAKE THEIRS.

“...Your courage, resilience, & compassion are nothing short of extraordinary...”

This past May, our province battled the worst fire in our history when the Wood Buffalo wildfire displaced almost 90,000 Albertans from their homes and businesses. From the early hours of the emergency, through the months of rebuilding and recovery, the strength of our communities and people has exemplified the spirit of Alberta. When our province faced the worst, you reached out to help those who needed it most.
The incredible work you did in such difficult conditions has not gone unnoticed.
It is my honor to present you with a commemorative medallion and an official certificate in recognition of your outstanding service. This medallion represents the extraordinary efforts of Albertans who stepped up during the wildfires and evacuation. Your courage, resilience, and compassion are nothing short of extraordinary. Please accept my deepest and sincerest thanks for going above and beyond in the face of this unprecedented natural disaster.
While there is still a lot of work ahead of us, with the support and inspiration from Albertans like you, we will make these communities home again.

“...Outstanding work & approach—we recommend Trident Pump Inc. without hesitation!...”

Over the past summer, Civeo had experienced forest fires that threatened one of its camps in Northern Alberta. Trident Pump Inc. worked with Civeo to mobilize its equipment and technology with almost no notice to site.
Trident Pump Inc. was able to efficiently mobilize and utilize its technology to pump water from the closest water source over 2 KM away to prevent the fires from harming the lodge.
We found Trident Pump Inc. staff to be very knowledgeable, professional and cooperative throughout the course of the situation in high stress times.
Overall I would classify Trident Pump Inc. work and their approach to be outstanding and look forward to working with them in any project they should be awarded in the future. We would recommend Trident Pump Inc. without hesitation.

“...Trident pump is very strong & can deliver water quickly & for continuous periods...”

High volume water transfer and structure protection are areas where traditional wildland fire pumps and hose are lacking. The ability to move big volumes and quickly set up a trunk line for water delivery is key in structure protection.
Whether for sprinkler deployment or high volume water transfer the Trident pump is very strong and can deliver water quickly and for continuous periods without having to shut down.
The pump control board made the pump operation and operating RPM very easy to manage. The size of the fuel tank makes for full day operations with little to no support needed from the pump staff so they can be utilized for hose and sprinkler deployment or adjustments.
The pump mounted on a UTV allows for deployment of the intake into very shallow water as the UTV is used as the platform at the waters edge.

“...Trident Pumps can be used for fires or flood mitigation in any community!...”

In 2022, at Christina Lake, a beaver dam was in danger of spilling over and flooding the community again. The last time this happened, it caused 1.6 Million in damages.
Twelve members of the fire department were assigned the task of dropping the water level. They packed in 6 wajax pumps and hose. Over the next Eleven days they continually operated the pump systems and had multiple pump failures. The end result was not positive as the water level drop was negligible.
In late April, 2023, BCWS was called in to assist when the same dam threatened to flood. They deployed Two Trident systems on scene. They had to cut a trail into the area, in order to gain access with the 6×6 mounted units. Two crews of Four workers deployed the Two Trident pumps and hose, then ran the systems until the resulting water level was less than Eleven inches, which signifigently alleviated the threat . The total time on site was less than 15 hours.
Being as the Trident community protection systems can be deployed so rapidly in almost all off-road situations, they can be used for fires or flood mitigation in any community.
BCWS see’s many uses for this new technology, including structural protection, fire guard support in the form of a wet line, tender filling and flood mitigation. We have purchased Two complete systems and are proud to support Canadian Innovation.
