We have a proven team at the helm, experienced workers at the ready and equipment at our disposal. We have designed, built, tested and have patents inplace on a new type of water pump that can help make a difference in the Firefighting, Flood and Mine de watering markets. We have a contract in place with Forestry and will be going after other markets, once we are established.
We have tested and re-tested our design again and again. As a matter of fact, we have put our prototype through 4 years of rigorous tests and our design has never let us down! The pump has been subjected to sand, silt and gravel from pea to 3/4″ from day 1.
Our units can be mounted on high performance side by sides as pictured below
We recently received a commendation from the Alberta Premier for our Actions in Ft. McMurray!
The potential for this new technology is far reaching:
- Forest fires and Flood relief
- Mine De-Watering
- Oilfield fluid moving
- Ecological clean ups in remote areas
- The fuel savings of our pumps when compared to others, is as much as 600%
- There are currently 35,000 fire stations in the US and Canada, we would like to put at least one mobile pump in each station, as a first responder.
The expanding cost of fighting Forest fires
The estimated annual cost of Forest fires in Canada alone is $37 Billion. Over $1 Billion in manpower and $36 Billion in lost timber revenue.
Alberta Forestry currently has a very limited selection of pumps to choose from. They have to weigh less than 5,000 lbs, in order to be transportable via the largest Helicopter at their disposal, which costs $4,500.00 per hr.
The pump pictured below at left, weighs in excess of 5,000 lbs and outputs 750 gpm on flat ground. Our pump on the right weighs under 500 lbs and can output up to 2,000 gpm! Forestry requested 750 gpm at One Mile, so we reduced our intake to 6″, adjusted our pump pitch for even more torque which resulted in a decreased output flow of 1,700 gpm but because of the added torque, we are able to supply well over 1,000 gpm at one mile!
Not only does our pump outperform conventional pumps, it does it while burning a lot less fuel!
A typical De-watering pump weighs between 8,000 and 15,000 lbs, which means they need 3rd party support equipment to manipulate inplace. This means an added cost in time, in labor, in equipment and fuel. Current pumps also burn between 20 and 40 gph of Diesel to move water, slurry or product. At current fuel pricing, this equates to between $2,700 and $5,400 per day in fuel consumption per unit! Simply by switching to our pumps, they would eliminate the need for 3rd party equipment manipulation and would eliminate 100% of Diesel emissions because our pumps burn 5 gph of low octane pump gas, at current prices, this equates to $544.00 per day, for a daily fuel savings of atleast 500% per unit when compared to the 8,000 lb unit!
- In 2019, all Diesel driven wildland engines need to be tier 4 final compliant. This means a reduction in output power because of the added filtration needed on exhaust! Trident pumps are gas driven and currently meet all Federal emissions standards!
With Alberta’s carbon tax in full swing, Trident Pumps can now offer a cost effective alternative for all of your pumping needs!
